The doctor assesses you before recommending any IV package. Depending on that assessment, the next step may be a different treatment or a referral to hospital rather than a package.

The IV packages are intended for particular medical complaints, and IV therapy is offered only to adults aged 18 or over when the doctor finds it appropriate. Laboratory packages cover different groups of tests and include a doctor's review of the results. Before booking a lab package, confirm whether preparation is needed and whether every test in that package is currently available.

Ask how long your visit may take, what the package includes and whether any extra test or treatment would add to the cost. If IV therapy is recommended, a nurse monitors you during treatment and you rest for 30 minutes afterward. For laboratory tests, ask when the results are expected and how the doctor will explain them. The team can help you understand these steps before you proceed.
